Penn Outdoors Alumni

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

We're proud of our alumni who continue the Penn Outdoors tradition in the "real world". Find out what our recent graduates are up to now:

MARGARET HOFFMAN (C' 2010)
After graduating in May, I spent my summer sailing and traveling in South America, where I tried to incorporate adventurous activities into our itineraries wherever possible. The highlights by far were mountain biking from Cuzco to Ollataytumbo (near Machu Picchu) on my birthday and camping--albeit in freezing rain--at 15,000ft in El Cocuy National Park in Colombia. I am currently an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group in Boston.

My favorite UPOC trips were always the board car camping ones, which we began the fall of my sophomore year (2007, see photo).

MICHAEL JUNG (W' 2009)
My favorite outdoors activities are rollerblading in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. My favorite UPOC memory is the board trip we had, car camping on the beach. Even though the wind upended a tent or two, it was an amazing trip with a fantastic bunch of people. I am now working at Cornerstone Research.

SEBASTIAN
After graduating, I left Philly for a job at Google, Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area. From here it's pretty easy to get out to Tahoe for skiing and snowshoeing, or do day hikes in the redwood forest. My favorite UPOC memory is skydiving for the first time outside Philadelphia and seeing so many great people step up to lead the club as the year progressed.
