After an hour-long ride to the beach, we will be outfitted with surfboards and surf gear, then taught in groups of three by instructors from the 7th street surf shop, located on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ. These lessons aim to have you riding waves in two hours! Thanks to friendly swells pushed up by hurricanes to the south, the water will be warm (warm enough to go wetsuit-less!) and the waves perfect for learning. After two hours people can either opt to continue improving their skills on their own for a couple of hours (this may have to be arranged for with the surf shop on your own and may cost extra), lounge on the beach, or seek food and entertainment on the boardwalk before the group heads back to Philly.

If you already know how to surf but just require transportation to the beach, please contact the trip leader.
