Join us for a full afternoon of hiking on one of eastern Pennsylvania's
most scenic trails. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to enjoy
the fall foliage and spend a day outside while the weather is still
pleasant. There will also likely be opportunity to observe the hawks
and raptor migration for which the Hawk Mountain is known.
We expect to
arrive at the trailhead around noon and spend the rest of the day
hiking a 5 mile loop. After gaining about 1,500 feet in elevation, we
will spend two miles bouldering across the mountain's ridge before descending through an extensive and scenic river bed.
The hike will require moderate physical stamina but no experience in necessary.
