Join us for a full afternoon of hiking on one of eastern Pennsylvania's
most scenic trails. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an adventurous hike and see the beautiful winter landscapes. There will also likely be opportunity to observe the hawks
and raptor migration for which Hawk Mountain is known.
We expect to
arrive at the trailhead around noon and spend the rest of the day
hiking a 5 mile loop. After gaining about 1,500 feet in elevation, we
will spend two miles bouldering across the mountain's ridge before descending through an extensive and scenic river bed.
The hike will require moderate physical stamina but no experience in necessary. Please make sure to wear sturdy shoes; Wear hiking boots if you have them.
