How can I participate once I'm a member?

There are lots of ways to get involved with the club, no matter how busy your schedule.

  • The best way to start is to sign up for the LISTSERV using the form above and to the left. We try to limit the LISTSERV to no more than 3-5 messages per week to avoid filling up your inbox.
  • If you have trouble getting away on the weekend, you can check out our on-campus events including general body meetings (with free food usually), film screenings, fundraisers or socials (check homepage or LISTSERV for info).
  • Penn Outdoors runs trips almost every weekend. Give yourself a break for a day and signup for one. If you'd rather run your own trips or head out with friends, use our blog and gear library to get the info and equipment you need to enjoy yourself safely in the area.
  • Blue MountainIf you have prior experience with the outdoors, you might want to consider applying to be a trip leader. This involves a one-time commitment to organize (and attend!) a trip. Contact us for more info.
  • Finally, for the most die-hard outdoor freaks (or those who really want leadership experience), we can always use help on the Executive Board, which manages all the day-to-day activities of the club. Check out the leadership section for more info.
